The COBRA SUPER ULTIMATE system is adjustable, dual-function, spring loaded, larger, easier to install, and requires
"NO DRILLING"
. This latest system simply bolts on to your existing hardware.
The COBRA SUPER ULTIMATE is constructed of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum for strength and durability, in the largest size COBRA JET STEERING has ever offered in over 18 years of making steering modifications to improve the jet boating experience.
The SUPER ULTIMATE  offers the adjustment feature for versatility , allowing you to decide the proper amount of influence, That's important but that isn't all!
The COBRA SUPER ULTIMATE has fins that are spring-loaded, allowing them to flip up upon contact with a submerged object, or from contact with the ground in shallow water. Using a specially designed spring that requires no tools to activate or deactivate the spring tension.
As an added feature, these COBRA SUPER ULTIMATE units incorporate our 7 hole easy changeover configuration that allows you to  change the steering fins function from down at speed to up allowing most of the fin surface to be out of the water with just enough remaining to continue to provide feedback in the wheel and some extra influence. This allows you the flexibility to make an informed decision when choosing the function that best suits YOUR needs. In one versatile system.
The NEW super fins add a

surface for slow speed steering, reverse and docking capabilities. All these features and

without creating excessive draft on the fins.

ULTIMATE also offers an additional safety feature. In a situation where the power is reduced or turned off unexpectedly, a jet boat is truly a rudderless ship, it will revert back to traveling in the direction it was going before the turn was initiated. This can be very dangerous.

ULTIMATE is capable of providing sufficient influence "when set in the full time steering mode" that it can act as a stand-alone steering system and help keep the operator in control to avoid a collision thanks to it's unique design and positioning. This mode will also allow the operator to steer the boat while being towed.

Our special smooth leading side of the fins will not snag a ski rope.  The influence for holding the boat steady at any speed is great for wake boarding, skiing etc. Being capable of making tight precise turns is great for tubing. Feedback in the helm makes your boat more predictable. The adjust-ability feature allows you to set the correct influence for your personal preference.

This system was specifically designed to avoid adding unnecessary water spray, rooster tails, vibrations, or other annoying side-effects
that may hinder the fun factor.  Our special design and strong materials do not require any obstructions to be placed between the fins  down in the flow of water where they would create drag or unnecessarily disrupt the flow of water exiting the nozzle. AS  reported with steering units from other manufacturers.
The rounded edges and bottom curve of the fins, combined with the springs, makes these very safe for swimmers. The precise control at idle makes it great when retrieving a skier or tuber.
