You are bidding on a Lionel 6464-425 New Haven Boxcar Late Classic original box in near mint condition. One of the best Postwar boxes I've ever seen. It dates between 1956 and 1958 making it between 63 to 65 years old. In amazing condition for a cardboard box from the 1950's.
You are bidding on the box only.
It includes all eight of its super crisp original flaps and its coloring is vibrant with bold and complete graphics. It has the attractive red-orange color found on the later versions of the late classic boxes. There is a price stamped on one of its facing panels, 2.39 with one of those hand stampers used back in the mid 1950's. It was also stamped on and end panel but blacked out. On the opposite end panel there is some very light and very small writing. I believe it says MKT on one side of Box Car and all Maroon on the other side. So small I needed a magnifying glass to read it. Its on the end flap without the blacked out mark.
It is correctly numbered 6464-430.
